Aspirating Smoke Detection Systems

RSPL are hosting comprehensive training on WAGNER’s aspirating smoke detection systems on Tuesday the 10th of June 2025 at our premises in Drumcondra, Dublin.  This training will be hands-on and will cover the TITANUS MICRO-SENS and TITANUS PRO-SENS systems.

Aspirating smoke detection systems are an advanced form of fire detection that continuously sample the air for the presence of smoke particles. They are particularly effective in environments where early detection is critical.

The course will be held twice on the day so that you can choose a time slot that suits you:

• Time Slot 1:  10:00 am - 12:30 pm
• Time Slot 2: 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Course Content:

• System Fundamentals:
  • An introduction to aspirating smoke detection (ASD) systems and their advantages over traditional point-type detectors, emphasising early fire detection and reduced false alarms.
• System Components:
  • Participants learn about the different components of a TITANUS system, including the aspirating module, pipe network, sensors, filters, and their respective functions.
• Pipe Work and Installation:
  • This training will cover typical applications, including considerations for pipe routing, air sampling point placement, and system zoning.
• Operation and Maintenance:
  • Participants gain practical experience with system operation, including troubleshooting, monitoring and maintenance procedures, as well as understanding the importance of regular testing.
• Programming and Commissioning:
  • Training includes hands-on experience with programming and commissioning the TITANUS system, including setting sensitivity levels, alarm reporting, and integration with other fire alarm systems.

Anyone designing, pricing, installing, and commissioning fire alarm systems.

Booking Deposit

The course is free of charge but a deposit of €100 per person is required to reserve a place. The deposit is payable once a booking is confirmed. The deposit will be refunded to people who attend the training course. The deposit will not be refunded to people who fail to attend the training course.
