The OPTEX OVS-02GT is a reliable and easy-to-install vehicle detection sensor for automatic gates, barriers, and industrial doors. Installed above ground on a wall, pole, or barrier housing, it replaces traditional ground loops by acting as a "Virtual Loop." This makes it ideal for sites where in-ground installation is difficult due to surface conditions or legal restrictions.

The OVS-02GT detects stationary or moving vehicles made from any material, at speeds up to 35 km/h. It offers:

• Short- and long-range detection up to 8 meters
• Wide-angle adjustment from 90° to 95°
• Visible status indicator light

It suits both basic gate activation and advanced parking system integration.

Simple, Above-Ground Installation

The sensor mounts 50 cm above the ground on a barrier, pole, or wall—no need for disruptive groundworks. Setup is quick and intuitive using the “Virtual Loop” mobile app which is compatible with smartphones and tablets.
